Yoga Teacher

The third time was the charm. I first began dabbling in yoga after law school while living in Washington, DC. I took an errant class here and there, but it was not until I stumbled upon a well-taught Vinyasa flow class at my local gym that I became hooked. From pre-school onward, I had taken all manner of dance classes and discovering flow-oriented Vinyasa sent me right back to the wonder and pink tights of those childhood studios and back into my body. And the flow has changed my life. In the good times and bad, I have come to the mat; first for exercise and then for so much more.

In the summer of 2014, I completed a 200-hour teacher training at the Nosara Yoga Institute directed by Don and Amba Stapleton in Costa Rica. I am excited to bring what I have learned from all of my amazing teachers to my own dance-inspired flow classes. I hope to bring and convey the same sense of joy that I feel when I practice, along with a bit of old school Michael Jackson, some Bill Withers, and, no doubt, Nina Simone.
