Meg Donovan

Yoga Teacher

Meg, RYT-200, has been on the move since she started figure skating at age 3. Her love for moving her body in every way possible led her to field hockey, half marathons, dance, a brief but magnificent interlude as a jammer for the Charlottesville Derby Dames, hiking, every fitness class that’s ever been invented, teaching Spin for five years, digging in the dirt for fun, and that one time she went to Crossfit.

Meg had been casually coming to her mat for over a decade, but it wasn’t until finding the right yoga community that the practice transitioned from just another way to move her body, to a inward journey of exploration, discovery and self-care. Meg now sees the practice of yoga as an essential tool for mindful, loving, joyous living, and her classes reflect that belief. She aims to make each class a fun, challenging, yet accessible exploration of finding service and strength through a nourishing practice. She believes that coming to your mat is the ultimate expression of self-compassion and love, and helps to cultivate the limitless possibilities that lie within.

Meg completed her 200-hour RYT with Ryan Glidden at MOSAIC Charlottesville in the Spring of 2016. When not on her mat she can be found snuggling her dogs, working in her garden, on her kayak, drinking coffee, or spending time with family and friends.
