Trigger the relaxation response throughout your body and feel a sense of motionlessness and ease, like floating on a cloud.
Fully supported by bolsters, blankets, and blocks, we will surrender completely to gravity in positions that gently coax the body open, releasing built up muscular tightness and mental tension.
The benefits of restorative yoga are numerous. It enhances flexibility, stills the mind, balances the nervous system, boosts immunity, and enhances mood. And, restorative yoga simply feels good.
Marla has been practicing yoga since 1993 and teaching since 2001. Marla is the director of Yoga Sparks Cville offering trainings, workshops and retreats.
Many years ago Marla took a Yin yoga class and fell in love with practice. She has trained and staffed with Biff Mithoefer and trained with Bernie Clark. But her experience comes from over a thousand hours in the classroom where she continues to learn.
Marla’s thoughtful blend of poses and her overall enthusiasm make her classes appropriate for all. Her classes are comfortable, casual and infused with a sense of humor.
Marla appreciates all her students for showing up to class and giving her the opportunity to teach. It is because of them that she continues to teach.
