Fall Session I - Sunday, Sept. 17 - Sunday, Oct. 8 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Fall Session II - Sunday, Oct. 15 - Sunday, Nov. 5 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
This course is for anyone who attends vinyasa classes. The poses that make up the three basic sun salutations (Classical, A and B) are technically complex, requiring strength and flexibility to perform safely. In this course, we will workshop these poses, teaching sound alignment that is essential to practicing vinyasa regularly without causing injury and offering modifications to enable you to safely develop greater strength and flexibility.
The practice of vinyasa requires a basic level of fitness and is suited to those who are already physically active. All of our vinyasa classes incorporate sun salutations which build core and upper body strength. (If you have injuries to, or chronic issues with, shoulders or wrists, vinyasa classes may aggravate them. Please call us to discuss before attending class.)

As a newlywed couple, we have been exploring activities away from screens and noisy bars, meaningful and balanced energy exchanges and ways to both strengthen ourselves in body, mind, and spirit, while getting to know one another on deeper levels. We have found in our personal experience that we connect in a gentle, slow-paced practice. We would love to share our practice with those who may wish to engage with one another in a more unique social setting.
This Partner Yoga Workshop consists of gentle, floor-based stretching and breathing with a partner.
The intention is to establish yourself in your breath, your body, your space, and your presence, then to add in the partner component.
Stretches will be gradual and soft, artfully guiding your bodies to move together. The stretching will be done with respect for your own body and that of your partner. Transitions and poses will be done slowly, to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone. We will be teaching from our own personal experiences, offering modifications and using props to guide us into our own personal alignment.
This practice is an exercise in communication and honesty; the chance to know ourselves and our partner in a deeper, more intimate way that reveals our true light, in the reality of what we are.
